For more than six decades, the English Chamber Orchestra has been one of Britain’s internationally renowned chamber orchestras, performing and touring across the world, creating an extensive recording legacy and collaborating with many of the leading artists, conductors and composers of their generations.
Under the long-standing patronage of His Majesty King Charles III, the ECO brings together artistic excellence and charitable purpose. We perform in concert halls and festivals, tour internationally, record for albums and screen, and work with promoters, producers, cultural institutions, businesses and creative partners in the UK and around the world.
As a registered charity, our work extends beyond performance. Through education, social-impact and community programmes, we widen access to music, work with children and young people, nurture emerging musicians, composers and artistic leaders, and create opportunities for people to experience and participate in world-class music.
Today, the ECO is building on more than 65 years of musical heritage — taking British musical excellence around the world while investing in the artists, audiences and opportunities that will shape its future.
