Make a Donation
Give a one-off or monthly gift of any amount, online in under a minute. Donations directly fund performance, legacy, music education and access to classical music for the next generation. Supporters can give from the UK and internationally.
Become a Member
Join the ECO community as a Friend, Patron or through the invitation-only ECO 1960 Circle. Membership creates a closer relationship with the Orchestra and provides dependable support for its artistic, educational and charitable work.
Major Giving
A significant personal or family gift, often made as a larger one-off contribution or multi-year commitment, shaped around your interests with private stewardship and reporting. Major gifts fund work that would not otherwise happen — programmes, projects, positions, commissions and long-term resilience.
DIRECT YOUR IMPACT
Sponsor a Musician’s Chair
Attach your name - special person’s name or your company’s name to a specific musician’s position: “Principal Cello, supported by…”. Chair sponsorship is normally arranged annually or through an agreed multi-year commitment, creating a visible, human connection between you and the artistry you sustain. Most giving is abstract; this is not.
Fund a Project
Direct your support at one defined piece of work — a schools programme, a recording, a new commission, an emerging artist’s opportunity or a community project — and receive a report on what it achieved. You choose the outcome; we deliver it and show you the evidence.
Leave a Legacy
Leave the ECO a fixed amount, a specific asset or a share of your estate through your will — also known as a charitable bequest. A legacy requires no payment during your lifetime and can create an impact far beyond it. In-memory and tribute giving are also warmly welcomed.
COMPANIES & ORGANISATIONS
Corporate Partnerships
Create a tailored partnership around your organisation’s CSR priorities, cultural ambitions and business objectives. Companies can sponsor concerts, tours, education and community programmes, Close Encounters, opportunities for children and young artists, new commissions, events or other agreed ECO projects. Partnerships can also include employee engagement, client hospitality, cultural programming, brand activation and measurable impact reporting.
Business Supporters Circle
Join a flexible business-support programme designed for small and medium businesses, service providers and professional practices. Businesses may support the ECO through recurring contributions, customer checkout round-ups, a percentage of sales, special supporter subscriptions or approved promotional campaigns. In return, members can receive defined benefits such as recognition, networking opportunities, cultural access and association with the Orchestra.
Trusts & Foundations
Grant funding can support defined outcomes across education, access, emerging talent, new work and community participation—with evaluation, safeguarding and reporting built in. We welcome project-specific, core and multi-year grants, and may also explore recoverable grants, blended finance or other repayable social-investment structures where appropriate.
RAISE FUNDS WITH US
Fundraise for the ECO
Create an approved fundraising event or campaign in support of the English Chamber Orchestra. Host a gala, private dinner, lunch, breakfast, reception, cultural evening or other experience for your network, with ECO guidance, fundraising tools and agreed use of our name and materials. You may also organise a sponsored challenge, community project, performance, online campaign or personal fundraising page.
Include Us in Your Event
Make the ECO the charitable beneficiary of an event you are already planning. Add collections, QR-code giving, ticket donations, auction proceeds, sponsor pledges or a contribution from event revenue at galas, conferences, networking events, exhibitions, shows, dinners and other significant occasions. Workplace Giving
Support the ECO through your workplace. Employees can nominate the Orchestra and make regular Payroll Giving contributions directly from salary, while employers can introduce a giving scheme, match employee donations, organise staff fundraising, offer volunteering opportunities or select ECO as Charity of the Year. This creates a shared relationship in which employees, employers or both can contribute.
TIME, INFLUENCE & ENGAGEMENT
Become an Ambassador
An advocacy role for people with networks and influence: introductions to potential supporters, hosting private events, opening doors and lending your voice to music education — in the UK and internationally. Ambassadors help the ECO reach people and organisations we may never otherwise meet; a single introduction can open a relationship of lasting value.
Volunteer or Give Your Skills
Give simply time, professional expertise or practical resources — event support, marketing, photography, legal or finance skills, mentoring, secondments, venues, travel, equipment or auction prizes. Donated expertise can reduce costs, strengthen delivery and allow more resources to support the ECO’s artistic and charitable work.
