On Tour with Pavel Šporcl

23 June, 2025 @ 7:00 pm

venue

Bethlehem Chapel, Prague

The South Bohemian Hvězdy nad Vltavou Festival hosts our second performance on our short tour to Czechia, in Prague.

The concert is called “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” celebrates the work of German Romantic genius Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. The audience can look forward to his famous Octet, Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D minor, and the world premiere of the Midsummer Night’s Dream Suite, which was arranged by Czech composer Lukáš Sommer, based on Mendelssohn’s score, especially for the festival and the octet ensemble.

Pavel Šporcl has been triumphantly received by audiences in major music venues throughout the world thanks to his formidable art, rich classical background and unique and distinctive stage presence. Making regular appearances on television, radio and virtually all other media outlets, Pavel has become a much sought-after musician and his recordings have found their natural home at the top of the charts.

Šporcl strives to bring the message of classical music to the broadest circle of listeners, and above all to young audiences. He frequently performs in “instructive” concerts targeting secondary and higher education students, turning these projects into exceptionally popular occasions.
