On Tour: Soojin Han at Tongyeong International Concert Hall

24 October, 2026
@ 3:00 pm
- 5:00 pm
venue
Tongyeong International Concert Hall, South Korea
We are delighted to return to South Korea for a special tour with acclaimed violinist Soojin Han, continuing a musical partnership that has most recently brought us together for our recording The Seasons.
At the heart of the programme is Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons – four extraordinary concertos that remain as vivid, expressive and exhilarating today as when they were first written. From birdsong and summer storms to autumn celebrations and the icy brilliance of winter, Vivaldi’s music provides a spectacular showcase for Soojin and the musicians of the English Chamber Orchestra.
Alongside Vivaldi, we explore some of the great music written for strings. Mozart’s elegant Divertimento in D major, K.136 is paired with the youthful energy and operatic character of Rossini’s Sonata for Strings No. 1 in G major, while Britten’s much-loved Simple Symphony brings together wit, lyricism and unmistakable British character.
Our relationship with South Korea is an important part of the ECO’s international story, and we are thrilled to share this programme with audiences across the country. Following our recent work in the recording studio with Soojin, we look forward to bringing that musical connection to life on stage.
