Join us for an intimate performance at Trinity Chapel, Cambridge with violinist Harriet Mackenzie who will perform Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor.
The Four Seasons is one the most celebrated works in the late Baroque repertoire. Vivaldi’s depiction of the seasons is based on four sonnets and in his music you can hear the flowing creeks, singing birds, buzzing flies and barking dogs alongside the frozen landscapes and warm winter fires.
Soloist Harriet Mackenzie’s recordings have received five stars from The Times and nominations for ‘Recording of the Year’ and has been described by The Strad as delivering “searing intensity… a performance full of panache… captivating!”
