Named for the year the ensemble became the English Chamber Orchestra, the Circle exists for people who want their support to help protect a remarkable musical legacy while opening new opportunities for musicians, audiences and future generations.
For those who want to help shape the future of the English Chamber Orchestra.
A Private Circle for Cultural Guardians
The English Chamber Orchestra’s story began in 1960 and has carried through generations of musicians, audiences, patrons and defining cultural moments. The ECO 1960 Circle exists for those who want to become part of that continuing story — not only as supporters of what the Orchestra is today, but as guardians of what it can become for future generations.
This is not ordinary membership. It is a private circle for individuals who understand that great cultural institutions do not survive on applause alone. They are protected, strengthened and advanced by people with the vision, influence and means to stand behind them at decisive moments.
Members of the ECO 1960 Circle help give the Orchestra the confidence to plan, perform, tour, educate, collaborate and grow. Their support can help create opportunities for musicians, open access for young people, strengthen international projects and allow the ECO to pursue work that would not otherwise be possible.
The Circle also creates a more personal relationship with the Orchestra and the community around it. Through selected private dinners, cultural gatherings, VIP rooms, networking functions and ECO-linked events, members are brought closer to the people, conversations and opportunities that shape the Orchestra’s and classical music’s next chapter.
For each member, the relationship is personal. Some may wish to be publicly recognised as cultural leaders. Others may prefer discretion. Some may be drawn by legacy, others by access, philanthropy, influence, music, international connection or the chance to help build something that will outlast them.
The ECO 1960 Circle is for those who want their support to mean more than attendance. It is for those who want to stand inside the legacy of the English Chamber Orchestra — from its past, through the present, and into the future it is now building.
