This concert reflects that ongoing commitment\, celebrating both the area’s rich cultural heritage and the creative partnerships that continue to develop across the region.\n\nJoining Halifax Choral Society and performers from Northern Ballet’s Gentleman Jack\, we will perform a programme featuring much-loved classical works by composers including Vivaldi\, Beethoven and Handel\, alongside music that reflects Calderdale’s unique identity and landscape.\n\nSet beside the lake at Shibden Park\, this special event forms part of Calderdale’s centenary celebrations and highlights the power of music to connect people\, places and communities. It also provides an opportunity to showcase the lasting impact of our work through Close Encounters\, strengthening access to live orchestral music and creating meaningful cultural experiences across the borough.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Programme \n \n \n \n Handel\nMusic for the Royal Fireworks (1st Movement)\n\nMendelssohn\nA Midsummer Night’s Dream Overture\n\nDelius\nOn Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring\n\nO’Hooley & Tidow\nGentleman Jack (Ballet)\n\nVaughan Williams\nFantasia on Greensleeves\n\nVivaldi\nSummer from The Four Seasons\n\nRimsky-Korsakov\nFlight of the Bumblebee\n\nBeethoven\nSymphony No. 6 in F major\, Op. 68 (“Pastoral”) – 4th Movement\n\nPortman\nTipping Points\, Part 5: Earth\n\nPuccini\nCrisantemi\n\nDelibes\nFlower Duet from Lakmé\n\nPiazzolla\nSummer from The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires\n\nCopland\nSimple Gifts from Appalachian Spring\n\nColeridge-Taylor\nBreath of Life \n\nHandel\nHallelujah Chorus from Messiah \n \n \n \n \n \n Performers \n \n \n \n Halifax Choral Society Chorus\nNorthern Ballet \n\nEnglish Chamber Orchestra
