This concert feels particularly special as we are joined by our Principal Guest Conductor\, Roberto Forés Veses\, performing in his hometown — always a meaningful moment for both conductor and orchestra.   We are delighted to welcome Domenico Codispoto as soloist for Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2\, a work full of youthful lyricism and poetic brilliance\, where the piano sings with elegance and warmth. In the second half we turn to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2\, a work brimming with energy\, wit and optimism\, capturing a composer on the brink of his revolutionary middle period.
